A Historic European Championship for Inspyre ! A Memorable double in the Elite category at Sarrians
From June 24 to 28, Sarrians played host to the 2026 UEC BMX Racing European Championships. On a demanding track and against the continent's top riders, Team Inspyre athletes once again showcased their outstanding talent.
With two European titles, multiple podium finishes, and strong performances in the championship finals, Inspyre's colors were proudly represented throughout an exceptional week of racing.
Mathis Ragot Richard retains his European title
The standout moment of these European Championships was undoubtedly the victory of Mathis Ragot Richard, rider for the Inspyre Factory Team, in the Elite category.
Already crowned European Champion in 2025, Mathis successfully defended his title by once again coming out on top against Europe's finest riders. Retaining the coveted European Champion's jersey is a rare achievement, highlighting both his remarkable consistency at the highest level and the hard work of the entire team.
A Historic double for the Inspyre Factory Team
By claiming the top two spots in the Elite final, Mathis Ragot Richard and Jérémy Rencurel, both representing the Inspyre Factory Team, secured a historic one-two finish for Inspyre in the Elite category.
For Jérémy, this silver medal carries special significance. Making his return to competition after recovering from injury, he delivered an outstanding performance, immediately re-establishing himself among Europe's elite riders.
Mark Lüthi wins in the U23 category
In the U23 category, Mark Lüthi, rider for PAMO BMX Racing Team, also made his mark at the European Championships by claiming the continental title.
Delivering a flawless performance throughout the weekend, the Swiss rider rose to the occasion when it mattered most, securing the coveted European Champion's jersey. A well-deserved victory that crowned a consistently strong weekend and further established his status as one of Europe's leading U23 BMX riders.
Bronze medal for Le Bougeant
Léo Le Bougeant, rider for DN Saint-Brieuc BMX Côtes d'Armor, rounded out the U23 podium with an impressive third-place finish. Consistent throughout the weekend, he delivered when it mattered most, producing a strong final to secure the European bronze medal against an exceptionally competitive field.
Lukas Chaudun se hisse jusqu'en final
In the Junior category, Lukas Chaudun of the Inspyre Factory Team reached the final, where he finished in a solid sixth place.Competing against the best junior riders in Europe, he confirmed his potential with a consistent and highly competitive performance throughout the weekend.
An Elite Final for Tristan Borel
Tristan Borel also impressed in the Elite category by reaching the final. The Swiss rider capped off his European Championships with an excellent sixth-place finish, following a strong and consistent weekend against one of the most competitive Elite fields of the season.
Several other Inspyre riders also delivered standout performances throughout the week. Robin Tacussel came agonizingly close to the podium, finishing an impressive fourth in his category, while Mathis Jacquet of the Inspyre Factory Team secured sixth place in the U23 category after reaching the final.
Meanwhile, Clément Rocherieux saw his European Championship campaign come to an unfortunate end in the semifinals following a crash. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back behind the start gate very soon.
